Bob Healy - BPG Nationals 25

Head coach of boys’ lacrosse at Salesianum High School, Bob Healy has been coaching for the past 23 years. In this time Healy has coached at Salesianum High School for 18 years where he has been able to develop a tradition of winning. Healy has led the Sallies team to 11 state championships with multiple streaks of consecutive wins. Additionally Healy lead the team to the #1 position in the Delaware High School Lacrosse Rankings, and in 2015 earned the USA Today Team of the Year. Healy has coached an impressive number of Sallies players who have gone on to top Division One schools to play lacrosse and earn All-American status. Healy himself has earned various local and national accolades including USA Today Coach of the Year in 2015 and earned his 300th career win in the 2023 season. Healy is the coach of the 2024 Apollo Team with Brotherly Love LC.

Shawn Plews - BPG Nationals 25

Shawn Plews is the defensive coordinator at Salesianum High School for the boys lacrosse team and is on the coaching staff for the Brotherly Love Lacrosse Club. Alongside Bob Healy, Plews has been able to cultivate a tradition of winning throughout his tenure accumulating numerous state championships and earning top spots in national rankings.

Pete Borror - BPG Nationals 26 & 30

Pete Borror has been involved with club lacrosse with the Mesa Program since 2010. He has coached various teams and age groups, including the #5 nationally ranked 2022 team. He has served the role of Director of College Recruiting since 2021 which saw 46 college commits from the 2022 and 2023 classes. 

 

He is currently the head coach of the Tatnall School where the team finished 13-4 and advanced to the state quarterfinals. Prior to Tatnall, Pete was an assistant coach at The Haverford School. From 2013 to 2018, the Fords won 4 Inter-Ac Championships and were named National Champions in 2015. 

 

Pete was a 2x High School All-American, Under Armour All-American and Delaware County Player of the Year during his time at The Haverford School. He played collegiately at The University of Virginia.

Henry Bard - BPG Nationals 26

First Team all Central League and all Main Line boys lacrosse selection. Bard was named the Aces’ Most Valuable Player. Bard was a three time Under Armour Underclass All American and a three-time Philly show case All-Star. Bard was the recipient of the Lower Merion High School Freshman Scholar Athlete award in 2019. Currently playing for Duke University where he is making a name for himself on and off the field by earning all ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll in his first year.

Adam Mueller - BPG Nationals 27

Adam Mueller is co-head coach at the high school level Penn Lax Platinum box lacrosse team. Under Mueller’s leadership the Penn Lax Platinum Team was undefeated in 2017 and have claimed titles at several elite tournaments. Mueller’s playing history is formidable, playing in the NLL for 11 years on teams in Philly, Baltimore, Albany and Detroit. He was also head coach of Philly, Minnesota and the NY Titans, where he was awarded NLL Coach of the Year in 2008. On top of this impressive resume, he also coached Team USA’s Indoor Team in 2015.

Tom Lemieux - BPG Nationals 27

Tom Lemieux is the head boys’ lacrosse coach at Springfield High School. Lemieux joined the Springfield Coaching Staff in 2010 and in the 2023 season earned his 200th career win. Lemieux has led the Cougar Team to back to back PIAA championships in 2016 and 2017. Prior to coaching at Springfield Lemieux was an offensive coordinator at Cabrini college.

Jack Forster  - BPG Nationals 28

Jack Forster is the head coach at Academy of the New Church. Under Foster’s leadership the ANC boys lacrosse team went on to win championships in the 2019, 2021, and 2022 seasons and has maintained high positions in national rankings. Forster additionally has earned various honors including Co-coach of the Year by Philly Lacrosse in 2019.

 

Prior to coaching Forster played for the Lasalle High School and went on to play for Penn State University from 2008-2013. While at Penn State Forster earned various conference and national honors.

Ryne Adolph - BPG Nationals 28

Ryne Adolph is the defensive coordinator for Springfield High School. Springfield consistently finished as one of the top defensive units in the state, as Adolph trains players to be smart and aggressive. Adolph coached at the Division One level at the Virginia Military Institute for one season.

 

Prior to coaching Adolph played Division One lacrosse at the University of Maryland and was captain for the 2008 season. During his time on the team Adolph earned an ACC Championship Title and made two trips to the NCAA Semifinals. Adolph is an alum of Springfield where he played on the varsity boys’ lacrosse team making multiple trips to the playoffs.

Rob Forster - BPG Nationals 29

Rob Forster is the current program director for the Duke’s Young Guns Lacrosse Club and is the head coach for the LaSalle College  boys’ lacrosse team. Prior to coaching at Lasalle, Forster was the head coach for the Academy of the New Church and spent a couple seasons as a part of the University of Pennsylvania men’s lacrosse team as a video coordinator. Forster attended LaSalle College High School where he led the Explorers to their first state title and earned High School All-American status. Forster went on to play at Penn State University from 2006-2008 and was the leading scorer in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 seasons. 

Kyle Long - BPG Nationals 29

Kyle Long, a former University of Maryland attacker, was the No. 27 overall pick in 2023 PLL Draft. While at Maryland, Long accumulated various accolades and honors including Inside Lacrosse All American, All Big Ten Second Team and the National Championship win in 2022. Prior to college, Long was an Under Armour All American, the 20th overall player in the 2018 class by Inside Lacrosse and two time US Lacrosse All American.

Shane Sturgis - BPG Nationals 30

Shane Sturgis is a former professional lacrosse player who played for the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards. Before playing professionally, Sturgis was an attackman at Penn State University from 2011-2014. In high school Sturgis accumulated an impressive amount of accomplishments. While at Downingtown East High School, Sturgis won 4 league titles, was a member of the 2007 state championship team. Additionally, Sturgis played in both the 2009 Under Armour underclassman games and the 2009 EPSLA junior games.

Rick Smith - BPG Nationals 30

Rick Smith is a 2001 Wissahickon High School Graduate and Former Assistant Coach  at Hatboro Horsham and Methacton. Smith is now the head coach at North Penn High School.

Kyle Sweeney - BPG Nationals 31

Kyle Sweeney has an impressive playing history beginning in high school where he played for the Springfield Cougars lacrosse club receiving All-American honors and MVP of the Central League. Sweeney went on to become a 3x All-American at Georgetown University and was then drafted by the Bridgeport Barrage in 2003. Throughout his playing career, Sweeney played for various teams and won MLL Championships in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2011 and made appearances in 9 MLL All-Star Games. Sweeney played for the US Men’s National Team in the 2006 and 2010 World Championships and again in the 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. Sweeney is the chief operating officer for Maverick Lacrosse and coaches at Mad Dog Lacrosse.

AJ Juliani - BPG Nationals 32

AJ Juliani is an important part of the BPG Nationals team. Juliani is a coach for the Abbington Lacrosse Club and Duke’s Lacrosse Club. Juliani additionally uses his lacrosse knowledge writing for Inside Lacrosse.

Michael Sowers - BPG Nationals 

Michael Sowers has dominated in both the NCAA and the PLL. During his collegiate career Sowers became the second all-time point scorer and number of assists in NCAA history. Sowers has claimed the title of the all-time scorer for his alma matter Princeton University with 302 points and the following year scored an impressive 81 points at Duke University. The Two-Time Tewaaraton Award Finalist was drafted second overall in the 2021 draft to the Waterdogs. In the 2022 season Sowers played a big role in assisting the Waterdogs to a PLL Championship.

Matt Moore

Matt Moore is a strong addition to our BPG Nationals coaching staff because of his experiences at all levels of lacrosse. Moore began his lacrosse career at Garnet Valley High School where he was a four time All-State player and a three time All-American. Moore then went on to leave an incredible legacy at the University of Virginia. By the end of his colligate career, Moore was a four time All- ACC academic player, with multiple trips to the NCAA Tournament and became UVA’s all time leader in career points. Matt finished with 271 points, 140 goals and 130 assists. After his final year at UVA Moore was the 4th overall pick in the 2022 draft to the Archers. Since being in the PLL Moore has made 2 All Star game appearances.

Drew Adams

Drew Adams is a Springfield, PA native who attended Springfield High School. At Penn State, Adams was a three-time All-American and the Nittany Lions' all-time leader in saves. In 2014 Adams won a silver medal with Team USA. Adams is a 5x All-Star goalie and a 3x Goalie of the Year winner. Adams won PLL Championships with the Archers in the 2019 and 2020 PLL seasons.

Nick Cardile

Nick Cardile is currently an assistant coach at Gettysburg College and joined them at the beginning of the 2022 season. Originally from West Grove PA, Cardile went on to play for the Nittany Lions at Penn State University. There Cardile was a valuable defenseman who earned accolades like USILA Honorable Mention All-American and Big Ten All-Tournament team. After his final season at Penn State Nick was the no. 10 overall pick in the 2021 PLL draft.

Jason Motta

Jason Motta is a director of Brotherly Love and a co-founder of 302 Lacrosse Club. Prior to creating developmental leagues Motta was an assistant lacrosse coach at the University of Delaware. Additionally, Motta is the athletic director, a teacher, and lacrosse coach at the Independence School.

 

Motta had impressive playing career beginning in high school earning All-American status, he went on to play at the University of Delaware as a face off specialist from 1998 -2001. Motta led his team to the NCAA Quarterfinal in 1999. Motta was then drafted in 2005 and won 2 MLL World Championships with the Philadelphia Barrage in 2006 and 2007 and made the MLL Final four in 2008.

Ryan Lehman

Ryan Lehman played at the University of Maryland from 2013 to 2016. Prior to Maryland, Lehman was a 2012 Under Armour High School All American and was ranked the No. 11 freshman defender in the nation, and the 35th overall recruit by Inside Lacrosse. Ryan Lehman coaches for Brotherly Love.

Jeff Connor

Jeff Conner’s impressive lacrosse career began in high school where compiled many accomplishments including setting school a record of 405 points and 237 goals. Jeff led Strath Haven to their first ever PIAA Class 2A championship. Conner was an Under Armour All-American, a US Lacrosse Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year, and the No. 2 midfielder for the class of 2018, as ranked by Inside Lacrosse. Conner went on to play a pivotal role at the University of Virginia. Conner was the no. 96 pick in the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League draft to the Waterdogs.
